The little joys of life!

After our short and fruitless shopping trip after lunch, we decided to head to the Henderson waves for some fresh air, and to while away some time before going for sunset Mass at St Teresa's. Serendipitously, an ice-cream man had stratigically parked his scooter at the start of the slope up from the carpark. Just what we needed to cool ourselves in the humid outdoors of Singapore!

Like happy kids, we savoured our $1 treats and began on our walk up (wishing we were dressed in shorts and T-shirts). Chocolate chip & Macadamia flavours... not that the ice-cream was gourmet, but hey, for a dollar, it's good stuff!
What's better was the lepak-ing on the waves... we conveniently plonked ourselves in a corner and quickly conformed our lazy selves to the contours of the wave, and there, just chatted the hour away. The sun was a tad bit uncomfortable to our eyes, as we were facing west.... more so for me, since i didn't have transition lenses!
Perhaps going one early morning to lie there and watch the world light up would be beautiful. We could do it as morning meditation :o) We'll be dressed a little more appropriately too...
